PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — SEPTA has officially opened its newly renovated Wissahickon Transit Center Monday morning.
It’s located on the 5000 block of Ridge Avenue in the Philadelphia’s Roxborough neighborhood.
SEPTA officials joined elected leaders in showing off the state-of-the-art transit hub.
The transit center includes weather-protected waiting areas, new benches, bicycle racks, and a separate ADA-compliant boarding area for each bus route.
There are also a number of safety improvements, such as improved lighting, signage, security cameras, and a supervisor’s booth.
