How has SJU helped you in your career development?
Nearly all of my classes have had a strong focus on soft skills like writing,
presentation, critical thinking, professionalism, etc., alongside coursework. My
professors don’t just make us give presentations to improve that skill; there’s
always a real intentionality behind consciously improving your professional skills
through your coursework, which I’ve already noticed has helped me in my
professional opportunities.

Community, Spirit, and Dedication
What has been your favorite initiative at SJU?
Currently, some members of the Student Senate and I are working with the
SEPTA Youth Advisory Council to advocate for a universal pass or UPass for all
SJU students. It has been so much fun combining my passion for public
transportation with my experience in community development to give back to the
St. Joe’s community.
What is your favorite part about attending SJU?
I love how the campus culture is really based on community and support. There is
so much spirit and pride about being part of this community, and everyone is
there for each other during undergrad and postgrad.
What is your proudest moment at SJU?
As an orientation leader, I’ve had the honor of leading nearly one hundred new
students in my groups. Now that two of my groups are finishing up their
sophomore year, whenever I see them on campus leading activities and having
success, I am extremely proud and feel blessed to have welcomed them to Hawk
Hill.
Before or while attending at SJU, what is an unusual or interesting job/ internship you’ve
had?
During the 2024 Election Cycle, I worked with a non-profit organization called
Project 26 Pennsylvania. Through this job, I was able to interact with over 500
students, registering some to vote and helping others formulate plans to vote in
person or by mail. It was unbelievably rewarding getting to help students just like
myself participate in elections and be informed voters.
Favorite place to eat on campus?
Hawk Wrap from the Drop.
Favorite places you’ve traveled?
I have two polar opposites. I went on a canoe trip to the US-Canada Boundary
Waters in Minnesota, and it was the most beautiful place I’d ever seen. I am
usually more of a city person, though, so I really enjoyed Chicago.
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
I’m immediately going to the BMW dealership in the district and buying an
electric SUV.
What is your favorite thing to do in City Ave District?
I recently walked the Cynwyd Heritage Trail extension from Bala to Cynwyd
Station for the first time. It was such a great time seeing a new part of the district,
and the Cynwyd Station building is super cute. I definitely will have to go back
and hike the rest of the trail soon!
