The Future of The Ave Is Bright
2021 was an exciting year of progress for a series of major redevelopment plans for the future of City Ave. Not one, not two but three major redevelopment projects are in the pipeline from Tishman Speyer, Keystone Property Group and Federal Realty, respectively.

Project highlights include:● Tishman Speyer will reimagine Bala Plaza 1, 2 and 3 in a 30-year plan that will bring a mixed-use development, combining retail, restaurant, hotel, office, multi-family residential uses as well as real and significant public amenities including over 11-acres of green space and park land.● Federal Realty Investment Trust has big plans for the Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center, the site of the former Lord & Taylor. Federal Realty Investment Trust will transform the property into a mixed-use development with open spaces, paths and public gathering areas to create more of a community beyond a shopping destination.● Keystone Property’s plans for One Belmont are progressing. The development will yield a vibrant mixed-use space. Keystone is working with Tishman Speyer and Federal Realty on connectivity plans that will ensure all three locations are accessible to pedestrians and cyclists.
