Celebrating the Arts in the District
City Ave District is primed to become a hub for public artwork in the near future. The District is committed to bringing world-class art to its citizens and visitors in the form of high-quality, engaging, thought provoking murals, sculptures, galleries, and lighting. There is tremendous opportunity and appetite for more, and the staff at City Ave District is working tirelessly to ensure the presence of public art grows and lasts for generations to come.
Open Requests for Proposals
City Ave District currently has available opportunities for local artists. The District seeks artists for a long term public art project, involving wrapping windows with vinyl wraps, adorned with custom, locally made graphic artwork.
Community Partners
The Bala Avenue of the Arts
Bala Avenue of the Arts (BAoA) is a non-profit organization focused on creating a vibrant, thriving arts and culture destination on the Bala Avenue corridor. Guided by a Board of Directors composed of Lower Merion residents, BAoA is actively engaging with local and Philadelphia based artists, performers, and cultural institutions to infuse new energy into this integral part of our community. By engaging a broad range of community stakeholders, our hope is that together we can transform Bala Ave into a dynamic hub of artistic expression, leaving a lasting positive impact for generations to come.
