In 2014, we introduced two new event series, The Food Spot @ City Ave and City Ave Lunch & Learns, providing new opportunities for networking, education, fun, and great food to those living and working in the District.
The Food Spot attracted more than several thousand people to our six events and quickly became a monthly staple as a new lunch break option. You enjoyed our food trucks, played magic tricks with us, got your blood pressure checked, danced to music from our radio station partners, all while helping us continue to build a vibrant community in City Ave. We thank you for helping us make this a success – we couldn’t do events like this without you and the support of our sponsors.
City Ave also introduced a new Lunch & Learn series, aimed at strengthening the ties within our District’s business community. Much more than a free lunch, the four events we held in 2014 brought together our business tenants to get an inside look at a variety of industries within City Ave. Held on site at Manko, Gold Katcher & Fox, Saint Joseph’s campus, Atrium Executive Centers, as well as at 6ABC’s headquarters, the Lunch & Learns yielded networking connections, as well as a better understanding of industry here on City Ave.
Covering topics such as Office Sustainability, Best Social Media Practices, and Leadership Development in Team Building, City Ave’s Lunch & Learns offered an in-depth look at topics applicable to a cross section of businesses. We look forward to continuing this series in 2015.
