The Green Lane/Belmont Avenue Bridge is a key connection in our region. It has been serving travelers for nearly 100 years, but it needs significant rehabilitation. The City of Philadelphia and Montgomery County, along with PennDOT and FHWA, are planning to address the extensive deterioration of the structure and restore it to a condition that can ensure a long service life and improve connectivity for the crossing of the Schuylkill River, Norfolk Southern Railroad, Manayunk Canal, and the Schuylkill River Trail.
The first Public Open House for this project is being held on September 24, 2024, from 6:30pm – 8:00pm in the Wolcoff Auditorium at Roxborough Memorial Hospital. More information about the event can be found on the project website (https://www.greenlanebridgerehab.com/) and in the attached meeting notice.
