Hi Circuit Fans,
We hope this note finds you well as we all work to safely navigate the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation.
While much about COVID-19 is still unknown, one message has been quite clear:
Social distancing is the primary way to prevent the spread of the virus. In this spirit, our friends at Rails-to-Trails Conservancy have made the necessary decision to postpone all in-person Opening Day for Trails events scheduled for April 18. This includes all events planned across the Circuit Trails region.
Please keep an eye on our website events section, where the status of local events, as well as new information about rescheduled events will be available.
As you are aware, government officials across the nine counties in the Circuit Trails region in Pennsylvania and New Jersey are advising a range of closures and public health guidelines. While we expect the majority of trails to remain open, please check with local trail management organizations to confirm the status of facilities like parks and trails in your neighborhood before you visit. That contact information is available when accessing individual trail records at TrailLink.com.
In this time of uncertainty, we are grateful for the vision that the Circuit Trails is delivering to our region—one where we all can use our trails to be active outdoors. Right now, many are relying on their neighborhood trail for respite or for necessary transportation. We also know that spending time in nature can be very beneficial for your mental and physical well-being. As the situation surrounding COVID-19 evolves, we encourage you to check the latest public health guidance from the CDC before heading out #onthecircuit.
We look forward to celebrating the start of trail season with you all, hopefully, very soon!
