GVF team poses with the Best Workplaces for Commuters Award
KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – For the seventh consecutive year, GVF is thrilled to be named as a national Best Workplaces for Commuters Gold Level Supporting Agency, as well as the fourth consecutive year as a Gold Level Employer, both of which are the highest recognition. This national program, Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC), recognized 21 organizations through a live “Race to Excellence” Virtual Awards Ceremony on Thursday, December 15, 2016.
The Race to Excellence is a challenge that recognizes organizations throughout the country who promote commuter benefits and sustainable transportation options. GVF was honored to be among the following recipients: Mayo Clinic, Commuter Services of Pennsylvania, and one of GVF’s partners, Suburban Transit Network. For a full list,

With its Gold Level Employer recognition, GVF continues to practice what it “preaches” and offers a multitude of TDM alternatives to employees. Some of these include accessibility to transit, shower facilities, as well as flex time.
With its Gold Level Supporting Agency recognition, GVF works with
private-public organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies, colleges and universities, health care institutions, engineering firms, local, state and federal officials with the common goal of creating a viable transportation network for the region’s economic vitality. By utilizing its website,
www.wearetdm.com, to educate employees and send strategic TDM surveys to gauge commuting habits, GVF continues to be a valuable resource for its members.
GVF also works to develop programs and initiatives that help to reduce congestion and improve air quality, through travel demand management (TDM) or best sustainable practices. Through its annual Sustainable Awards, GVF has given out 181 awards which represent over 220,000 employees since its inception in 2010.
“We are honored once again to be a Gold Level Employer and Gold Level Supporting Agency. Our job is making the commute better for all and it’s humbling to be recognized on a national scale for doing just that,” said Rob Henry, Executive Director of GVF.
