Meet Stephanie Shell, Director of Organizational Advancement at Wordsworth. Wordsworth is a private, not-for-profit, organization that provides a continuum of education, behavioral health treatment and child welfare services to children, adolescents and families. Their services include our Residential Treatment Program, special education programs, and a number of programs that are provided in homes, schools and the community.
Question: What’s your favorite thing to do in the City Ave area?
Answer: EAT! I love all the different food choices on City Ave. Chipotle, California Pizza Kitchen, Pei Wei, Corner Bakery Café and Honeygrow are my favorites, each has to be followed by an Americano from Starbucks. (psst, check out all these locations in our directory)
Q: What do you believe to be the key to success?
A: Having information. I can’t leave the house in the morning without reading the newspaper. I try to stay on top of local, national and international politics and events.
Q: What were you doing the last time you looked at a clock and realized you had lost all track of time?
A: Reading a good book by the pool.
Q:What’s your most significant accomplishment?
A: Staying committed to children, youth and family services for my entire career. I have found different ways to work on behalf of the needs of children, youth and families but have never wavered from my focus on this population.
Q: Who do you admire as a leader?
A: Ruth Bader Ginsburg because she isn’t afraid to stay to true to herself and her beliefs.
