What inspired you to create The Dubin Group?

I was a CPA and hated it so I thought I could help other accountants find new jobs. I learned the trade of recruiting for 5 years and then branched out on my own.

What is your role at The Dubin Group?

Client Development and Problem Solver.

Before working at The Dubin Group, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I was a window washer during college with a friend as well as serving ice cream and milkshakes at Baskin-Robbins.

How has The Dubin Group helped you in your career development?

It has allowed me to learn a lot about how other companies work and grow.

What are 3 words you would use to describe The Dubin Group?

Effective, caring, and cost-conscious.

How has The Dubin Group changed since it initially opened?

No longer a fax machine and Inquirer Ad placing recruiting firm…Technology has made our industry evolve and become a very competitive fast-paced section.

What has been your favorite project at The Dubin Group?

We recently helped one company staff their entire Accounting and Call Center Department, which in turn helped them grow 33%.

What is your favorite part about working for The Dubin Group?

Having a great team to work with and treating them like my family.

What is your proudest moment at The Dubin Group?

Winning “Best Places to Work” in the Philadelphia Business Journal for 5 years in a row.

Any favorite line from a movie?

“Leave the gun – take the cannoli.”

Do you have a favorite newspaper, blog?

It used to be sitting back and reading the Sunday Inky- it isn’t what it used to be…so now I read a myriad of business articles and blurbs daily.

Do you have a favorite quote?

Better to be quiet and thought of as a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

Favorite travel spot?

England & the Caribbean.

How do you define success?

Raising healthy children.

If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A Jim’s Steak with whiz and fried onions.

People would be surprised if they knew:

I am scared of heights.

What book did you read last?

A Biography on Winston Churchill.

What did you want to be when growing up?

Taller! lol

What is the first concert you attended?

I attended a Styx concert in 1980.

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?

I would pay off mortgages for my family & friends and set up a foundation for underprivileged kids in the city.

What is your favorite thing to do in the area?

I love to run Kelly Drive.

What places have you lived in?

Penn State, Delaware Vally, and the Jersey Shore.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?

I would be a lawyer.

You’re happiest when?

When I am at the shore with my fiancé and family.
