The Crowne Plaza Philadelphia West, located in the City Ave District, has teamed up with Tesla Motors to provide an increasingly desirable amenity to its patrons – Tesla Destination Charging. Tesla High Power Wall Connectors add 58 miles of range per hour to the Model S, charging the vehicle overnight and replicating the convenience Tesla owners are accustomed to at home.
“The Crowne Plaza Philadelphia West is constantly finding new ways to heighten the guests’ experience. By combining leading-edge technology and the forward-thinking of Tesla with our commitment to provide outstanding service and offerings, we now have the ability to offer guests a seamless and convenient charging experience during their stay,” said Aditya Maini, General Manager of the Crowne Plaza. He added, “These charging stations will be available at no charge for hotel guests and patrons of the hotel.”
The Crowne Plaza Philadelphia West and other Tesla Destination Charging locations are hosted on Tesla’s interactive webpage and will soon be GPS-located on Model S’ navigation through a free software update sent wirelessly to the car. In coming months, Tesla owners will be able to use the Model S 17” touch screen to easily plan trips and locate the property.
