PennDOT announced lane closures are scheduled for a Bala Cynwyd road next week due to work on the $2.9 million traffic safety improvement project.
From 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. Monday March 6 through Friday March 10, the right lanes in both the northbound and southbound lanes of City Avenue/U.S. Route 1 will be closed, PennDOT said.
The closures will be between Bryn Mawr Avenue and Kings Grant Drive, PennDOT said.

The work schedule is weather dependent.
Motorists should plan for extra travel time when heading through the area, or consider alternate routes.
The work is part of a project to improve travel and safety on a three-mile section of City Avenue/U.S. Route 1 between Interstate 76 and Lancaster Avenue/U.S. Route 30 by installing adaptive traffic signals to improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety along the corridor, PennDOT said. The project is scheduled to finish in November 2017.
