“We’re excited to bring back the Bala Avenue Art Walk for its second year, as it continues to breathe new life into this important corridor of our District,” said Bryan Fenstermaker, CEO & President of City Ave District. “This event is a testament to the vibrant, creative spirit of our community and serves as a powerful catalyst for drawing more foot traffic and energy to Bala Avenue. We’re excited to see how this year’s Art Walk will further showcase the potential of this area and contribute to the ongoing revitalization efforts.”

In the fall of 2023, City Ave District collaborated with Bala Avenue of the Arts to create the first Bala Ave Art Walk, an event which brought over 400 people to Bala in celebration of art and community. Several local storefronts were converted into month-long pop-up galleries, which aimed to beautify the corridor. This year, with the added support of Art Star, the three organizations will seek to build on the success of that initial event.

For the 2024 event, Bala Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Montgomery Avenue and Cynwyd Road from 10:00am on Sunday, September 15th until 5:00pm on Sunday, September 15th. Vehicles can utilize alternate routes on Conshohocken State Road or Bryn Mawr Avenue. Through traffic will also be closed on Highland Avenue between Bala Avenue and Cynwyd Road. Vehicles can utilize the alternative route on Cynwyd Road.

Public parking for this event can be found at the Cynwyd Station lot, Bala Gym lot, and on the streets surrounding the event. The parking garage located at 215 Bala Avenue will be reserved for vendors and event staff.
