Brothers Eric and Nathan Zhivalyuk, owners of Bala Cynwyd-based Germ Hero, have proven to be real-life heroes in the fight against COVID-19, writes Kelsey Fabian for PHL 17.
The pair are using their disinfecting and sanitizing business to give back to the community by providing free sanitization to first responders and providing those on the front lines with a cleaner and safer environment to do their work in.
Most recently, the brothers visited Merion Fire Company in Ardmore, where they provided full facility disinfection for free. Using an electrostatic sprayer, the brothers placed a protective layer on all the surfaces in the station – including the equipment and protective gear – to ensure the members of the company are working in a clean environment.
“We are able to go ahead and actually kill 99.9 percent of all viruses, germs, bacteria, flu, fungi, mold… you name it,” said Eric.
And despite this being the busiest time for the brothers, they decided to provide their services to first responders for free because “they are on the front lines, they are doing everything they can to help people,” said Eric.
