The Patch released an article sharing Lower Merion Township’s preparation for their annual Action Plan for fund year 2015-2016. Applications are available for funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is a flexible program that provides communities with resources to address a wide range of unique community development needs. For Lower Merion Township these needs include:
- Rehabilitation of owner-occupied homes
- Affordable housing activities
- Rehabilitation of community facilities
- Public service activities
- Curbing and sidewalk improvements
- Removal of architectural barriers
- Historic preservation
- Planning studies
Local non-profit and governmental agencies may apply to the Township for funding. Anyone interested in receiving an application should contact Kathryn Morris at the Community Development Division of the Lower Merion Building & Planning Department, at 610-645-6271. The deadline for application submission is Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at 4 p.m.
