An affiliate of developer Jason Dempsey plans a 63-unit apartment building on land acquired last year from St. Joseph’s University, across the street from Overbrook Station on SEPTA’s Regional Rail line.
The affiliate, 6300 City Line DP Partners LP, is proposing a five-story building with 21 parking spaces on what is now empty land on a parcel at 6300 City Ave. shared with the Wynnewood Hall apartments, according to a project description posted Wednesday to the website of Philadelphia’s Civic Design Review board.
The partnership, which shares a Malvern address with Dempsey’s Dempsey Development & Brokerage LLC, acquired the property from St. Joseph’s for $3.25 million in March 2016, according to records filed with the city.
The Civic Design Review board, which offers nonbinding design suggestions for the city’s biggest development projects, is scheduled to examine the project on April 4.
