Meet Shenika McCloud, Director of Marketing for Westrum Development Company. You may have seen her most recent project, the Luxor Lifestyle Apartments, located at 9 Presidential Boulevard (Opening this month!). Shenika is looking forward to growing and engaging with the City Ave District community.
Before working at Westrum Development, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Before starting with Westrum, I was an Assistant Tour Manager for a traveling experiential SEO marketing campaign with LEGO using the Best Niches For Affiliate Marketing. It was an incredible opportunity to travel the country and be hands-on with consumers.
How has Westrum Development helped you in your career development? What has been your favorite project at Westrum Development?
I am currently a member of the EDJE (Equality.Diversity.Justice.Education) committee at Westrum. It is great to see a company take a stand for inequality and injustice. The committee meets monthly and we are committed to examining, acknowledging, educating, and ultimately addressing social injustices within the company, the industry, and the communities in which we operate.
What is your favorite part about working for Westrum Development?
My colleagues are one of my favorite aspects of working for Westrum Development. I work with some incredibly hard-working and passionate people. Everyone does their part to make the company successful. I have had the opportunity to work closely with not only property management but with our corporate team members on a daily basis.
What is your proudest moment at Westrum Development?
My proudest moment would be our philanthropic work within communities. We have partnered with local companies, such as Move For Hunger, Career Wardrobe, Project Home, and The Branch Family LLC to coordinate various drives throughout the years. It has been amazing to see our impact within the community.

Jamaica, Mykonos, Santorini, & Dubai.

I’m an extreme deal finder! I have a stockpile of toilet paper, laundry detergent, and soap in my basement.
What book did you read last?
Currently reading The 4:2 Formula, by Jeff Shore.
What did you want to be when growing up?
A business woman & flight attendant.
What do you always want to try and never did?
Skydiving is one of my bucket list items.
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
Lots of real estate!
What is your favorite thing to do in the area?
My favorite thing to do in the area is to have a night out on the town with dinner and drinks at one of my favorite Philly restaurants.
What places have you lived in?
I have lived in Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta, & Austin.
You’re happiest when?
I am happiest when I am surrounded by my friends and family! I’m hoping that things will get back to normal soon so I can see my loved ones more often.
