Please be advised that the Union Avenue Bridge will be closed for demolition and re-construction starting on Friday, July 19th, 2019. Union Avenue will be closed between Bala Avenue and Conshohocken State Road until the project is completed and the bridge can be re-opened. Detours will be in place starting on Friday morning July 19th, 2019.
Access will be provided to the Bala Gym Driveway and to the Bala Cynwyd Post Office during the referenced construction. Traffic, including pedestrian traffic, will not be able to cross from Conshohocken State Road to Bala Avenue for the duration of the project. This also includes Emergency Vehicles and School Buses. Roadway and sidewalk detour signs will be in place to guide pedestrian and vehicular traffic around the work zone.
