Monument Road Closed on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – Monument Road from City Avenue to the Ford Road Bridge will be closed intermittently to all vehicular traffic Saturday, June 1st between the hours of midnight and 2 p.m. for paving, announced Streets Commissioner Carlton Williams.

The temporary closures will allow Streets Department employees to safely perform resurfacing of the previously milled roadway and line striping. Work will be completed by 2:00 p.m. weather permitting. For the duration of the work, Streets Department crews will make every effort to minimize the inconvenience to affected drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians.  The Streets Department thanks citizens in advance for their patience and cooperation during this project.
