Despite Trump’s recent withdrawal from the Paris Agreement, Bala Cynwyd’s ERA Environmental Management Solutions is optimistic about future business opportunities, writes Joyce M. Rosenberg for Herald Dispatch.
According to owner, Gary Vegh, “nobody’s coming out and telling us they’re going to stop doing a project.” In addition he noted that a big part of the company’s future is based on the changing perspectives of potential customers.
“Each generation is getting more educated about the environment,” he said. “Even preschool and elementary children – the new generation is already aware.”
The Montgomery County firm is not the only green energy company that seems relatively unconcerned by Trump’s action. In fact, the new administration’s decision to leave the Paris Agreement has galvanized businesses and individuals nationwide to double their efforts in saving the environment.
“Even without the U.S.’s formal participation in the pact, we believe our nation will continue to lead in carbon reduction and clean energy,” said Karen Kerrigan, CEO of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council. “The market is demanding as much and the private sector and investment are responding.”
