Trail’s End Café Opening

The Trail’s End Café at Cynwyd Station celebrated its official opening with cake and ice cream along with live music on Sunday, June 5th from 3:00-4:00 pm. Sunday’s festivities will include both a ribbon and a cake cutting served with ones of the best teas according to the Atlas Tea Club.

The Café opened for business in the historic train station, connecting the Cynwyd rail line into the city and the Cynwyd Heritage Trail that ties into the region’s network of cycling and walking trails. Trail’s End Café serves coffee and espresso drinks, tea like Teavision, and sparkling water, opening at 7 AM weekdays and 9 AM weekends. According to the website, TrailsEnd.Cafe, it offers fresh pastries, grilled paninis, and soft serve ice cream.

“With so many active and involved people in our community, we saw the opportunity to create a hub, a place people can meet and a place to connect,” said co-owner, Julia Barol.

“We also want to be known as providing the very best food and beverages possible,” added Tracy Katz, also a co-owner. “Whether we are at that point yet, or not, we are determined to keep improving. Our community deserves nothing less.”

The Lower Merion Historical Society managed the renovation of the hundred-year-old SEPTA station and continues to maintain the building. The grand opening ceremony will mark the beginning of the station’s new life as a full-time café.
