ABOUT MITCHELL GERSTEIN, CPA, PFS, MST
Mitchell Gerstein is a senior tax advisor at Isdaner & Company, LLC. He joined the firm in 2018. He develops, communicates, and implements innovative strategies that minimize the overall effect of income, estate and gift taxes, and evaluates tax alternatives and consequences of transactions and business decisions. Mitchell also assists clients with financial planning needs, including estate, retirement, business succession, income tax, investment and insurance planning. He has extensive experience with Pennsylvania “C” and “S” corporations. He has worked with corporations in multi-states including New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and New York. His involvement includes all types of IRS, state(s) and local audits including employment, income tax, sales and use tax audits. He serves various industries including: health care, professional services and family-owned businesses. Mitchell has worked with many medical practices on taxation and consulting issues.
Prior to joining Isdaner & Company, Mitchell was a principal at a large national accounting firm. He has over three decades of experience in the accounting profession. Mitchell received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Drexel University and earned a Master of Science degree in Taxation with highest honors from Widener University.
His professional affiliations include: memberships in the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA – National) and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
