To show support for and bring awareness to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month\, participants of all ages log as many active miles as possible all month long while raising money to help kids with cancer. Our goal is to collectively move 1 million miles during the month of September.

In partnership with GVF\, Lower Merion Township recently adopted a TDM Policy.  \n\n\n\nThe TDM Policy is designed to achieve the following goals:  \n\n\n\n• Reduce AM and PM peak period trips at key intersections \n\n\n\n• Increase the amount of ‘saved’ vehicle miles traveled (VMT)   \n\n\n\n• Achieve a 15-20% mode shift based on employees taking a TDM alternative such as cycling\, carpooling\, vanpooling\, teleworking\, or transit \n\n\n\n• Expand bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure \n\n\n\n• Increase public outreach efforts to promote multi-modal transportation \n\n\n\nLower Merion Township will encourage businesses to voluntarily implement the TDM Policy and will take an active role in advancing the strategies in the coming years through capital projects\, regulatory tools\, and public engagement efforts. Shredding is done on-site and all shredded paper will be recycled. These events are rain or shine.
